Job Objective

:

To provide technical & training support at Head Office level for both the service and sales activities in the Branches of the Pest Control Division.

Reporting to

:

Managing Director, Pest Control Division

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: A. 1.

Inspection & Reporting To undertake contracted inspections for PestGuard Plus, or other high value services sold by the Branches which require regular inspection by a senior, or technically competent person from the Head Office.

2.

To submit to any Branch Manager, Client and other relevant parties suitable written reports after the said inspection; and to make appropriate recommendations in which the Company’s treatment expertise can be employed as part of the solution.

3.

To discuss in full with the Client, the results of all inspections carried out.

4.

To identify cases where recurrent infestation and/or lack of cooperation by the Client require follow-up action by the local Branch Manager or Surveyors.

B. 1.

Quality Assurance To assist the Technical Director in conducting Branch Service Audits, monitor the status of the Service Quality and to assist in any other programmes whose sole purpose is to foster Quality work within the Pest Control Division.

2.

To constantly act as an agent, using his/her formal role as a Field Biologist, to propagate Good and Safe Working Practices within the Pest Control Division.

C. 1.

Training To oversee the safekeeping of pest control training materials, training equipment and training aids in the Head Office.

2.

To assist the Divisional Manager in the preparation of suitable training materials for the Pest Control Division.

3.

To assist the Divisional Manager in the planning, scheduling and conduct of technical training for the client.

D. 1.

Health & Safety To assist the Divisional in the implementation of the Company’s Health & Safety policies.

2.

To assist the Services Manager in collating the Quarterly Fumigation Safety Audit.

3.

To assist the Divisional Manager in the planning, scheduling and conduct of Health & Safety courses for Service staff in the Peat Control Division.

OTHER DUTIES 1.

Ensure that you actively promote new business for the company through your continuous awareness of new sales opportunity that exist either with current customers or new customers. (Sales leads will be paid in attractive commission scheme)

2.

To provide an Insect Identification Service for the Branches which do not yet have this capability, and to complement those which have.

3.

To liaise regularly with the Branches and their Managers, Executives, to as to be able to assist them in the best possible way in promoting the Company’s business objectives.

4.

To supervise and/or assist in specific Branch service operations as required after consultation with the Branch Manager & Technical Director.

5.

To constantly improve his/her knowledge of pest management by private study, membership of associations and attendance at courses, and also by the study of technical literature provided by the Company, and through practical experience in the field.

6.

To ensure the proper use, maintenance and security of vehicles, pesticides, equipment, documents and monies provided by the Company for the performance of his/her duties.

7.

To liaise with persons within the Rentokil Initial Group in the pursuance of your duties.
